It is also used in the semiconductor industry for being used as a semiconductor silicon source for the thin film deposition of silicon dioxide films. It is also used in the construction industry, and in the sol-gel process and in the enhancement of the surface quality of the cement-based materials. TEOS is used in stone hardening, cement, and mortar manufacturing and also in cross-linking of silicone polymers.
