The helium-3 atoms migrate across the poor state of the helium-3, offering cooling power, and then evaporating the liquid. The gas is pumped to a higher pressure and is purified. Then it finally returns to the condenser to restart the cycle. These refrigerators are becoming a dominant technique to reach mill kelvin temperatures as it avoids the on-site helium.
